Fredericia Meadow Table Lamp

It’s not a secret that interior pieces can equally be art. The Fredericia Meadow Table Lamp, designed by Space Copenhagen, is the best example of this. Part sculpture, part lamp, it’s made from solid stone, glass and brass and finds an effortless balance between its heavy, natural materials and lightness. The dome-shaped shade, mirrored in the comparatively small stone base, gives Meadow an organic look, similar to a mushroom.

I arranged the table lamp on my desk as well as on my bedside table and can’t decide where I like it better. It’s a stunning piece that adds a diffused light to my home – bright enough to read and write but gentle enough to create a cosy, elegant atmosphere.

I styled the table lamp in a scandi-inspired desk setting, featuring my favourite Byredo Bohemia candle, suiting matchsticks and a small ceramic plate. I placed Meadow along the other elements on two magazines stacked on top of each other to create an additional layer which complements the colour scheme.

I was lucky enough to win the lamp over at Rebecca Goddard’s Instagram account and couldn’t be happier. Its such a versatile table lamp for classic as well as contemporary settings and a piece to cherish forever.
